The Digital and Drone Solution (DADS) project is the product of the Scaling Out for Impact (SOFI) initiative hosted by Liminal which aims to develop closer ties between UK and South Africa businesses. The SOFI programme brought together 38 entrepreneurs from the UK and South Africa to co-create innovations to serve low-income communities in South Africa’s townships and rural economies. The DADS project has emerged as one of only 15 collaborations to be successfully funded.



The DADS project will see Aparito and Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital expand on their previous work (Precision Management (PM) of Epilepsy in South African Children) in using remote patient monitoring technology to improve treatment outcomes for paediatric epilepsy patients.



Additionally Aparito will collaborate with RaAzi to launch the development of a digitised outpatient supply chain which will combine remote patient monitoring technology with the drone delivery of medication to ensure that communities are provided with more readily accessible healthcare.
