Each sensor contains a wireless 5G transmitter operating on solar power to upload field measurements into the cloud for analysis. Sensors measure temperature, humidity, pest counts using specialized traps and lures, leaf and soil moisture, wind speed and direction, rain fall, dew point and so on. Data is collected every 15 minutes and uploaded into cloud storage that triggers AI algorithms. When a variety of conditions arise that interest growers, notifications are sent out to smartphones for action in the fields to ensure optimal crop outcomes.
