GPMS is owned by Mining Oil & Gas Services (65%) in partnership with the Tema Oil Refinery (35%). The GPMS facility operates under an exclusive 15 year concession agreement from the Ghanaian Government.



GPMS operates on an open access basis, servicing the bulk distribution companies and Tema Oil Refineries (TOR), on a throughput tariff basis. The facility handles in excess of 4.5 million metric tonnes of petroleum product per annum.



The operations of GPMS involve the discharge/transfer of petroleum products from vessels (ships) and other bulk liquid cargo types through the Single Point Mooring (SPM) and the Conventional Buoy Mooring (CBM/ABB) systems. Each of these installations have their associated offshore pipelines and linking facilities to onshore pipelines that are connected to tank farms at TOR, Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST) and other bulk distributor companies in Ghana.
