Finland is one of the few European countries that has all the key minerals needed to make lithium-ion batteries: cobalt, nickel, lithium and graphite. Furthermore, Finland has impressive expertise throughout battery value chains from the mining industry to the processing of battery raw materials, technologies and services related to the manufacture and use of batteries, as well as charging technologies and recycling.



Ylivieska is ideally located in the middle of a region where many key players of the Finnish battery value chains have business operations. Our aim is to create a platform for innovations in battery and battery materials circular economy and to enable development for existing and new businesses as they become a part of the innovation park business network.
