Operator of BATT4EU, a partnership formed under Horizon Europe that aims to establish a sustainable and circular European battery value chain. The Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), representing the private sector of the partnership, assists the European Commission in identifying research and innovation priorities. They oversee the portfolio of Horizon Europe-funded projects, support their results' exploitation and upscaling, and address gaps in education, training, and skills development in the European battery value chain. BEPA fosters networks between the battery industry, universities, and research organizations and promotes innovation adoption from EU-funded battery projects. They also support EU battery standard regulations' development, monitor and coordinate non-EU-funded projects related to batteries, and organize workshops, webinars, and brokerage events.

BEPA exists as an international non-profit making association (AISBL). Representing startups, scaleups, grownups in the industry as well as universities, research & technology organizations, and associations, BEPA gathers the European battery research & innovation ecosystem with 250 members spread over 25 countries. Building on our experience running Horizon Europe’s battery innovation partnership (Batt4EU), we drive research & innovation to keep Europe on the global battery map
